ecr – estudos de conservação e restauro
Full text
1The ecr Journal aims to disseminate scientific work done in the field of conservation and restoration of cultural heritage. We expect it to become a useful platform for researchers, not just from the School of Arts of the Portuguese Catholic University and its Research Center (CITAR), but from other national and international research centers as well.
2A newcomer in the Portuguese academic scene, our field of study is nevertheless gaining momentum thanks to the current raise of research produced by a growing number of mostly young researchers and restorers. Conservation interventions in cultural heritage require diverse studies in a considerable variety of fields which complement each others, such as historic and artistic studies as well as research on pictorial materials and technologic information about the production of the cultural objects. Therefore ecr is interested in material and technologic aspects of conservation and restoration treatments. Any study centered in conservation and restoration of cultural heritage will fulfill the aims of this Journal.
